The Calvary CDC Infant/Toddler program accepts children who will be between 6 months to 23 months of age during the upcoming school year. To be eligible for enrollment in the Infant/Toddler program, a child must be 6 months old by August 1 of the upcoming school year.

Early Learning
The Infant/Toddler Curriculum at Calvary Child Development Center is focused on an age-appropriate developmental system for our 6 month – 23 month olds. Our goal is for these younger children to develop intellectually, physically, socially, and spiritually as they play and interact in a cheerful and loving Christian atmosphere. Each child is profiled weekly using the Early Learning Accomplishments Profile for Young Children which provides activities for specific goals in individual need areas including: fine and large motor skills, cognitive, communication, and social/emotional development.

Activities
As the children mature they are introduced to Bible stories, Bible songs, finger plays, and a weekly theme using the Rainbow Bible Curriculum developed by one of our own staff members, Dot Erb. Each child also participates in art, Sonbeam Music, and Spanish. Classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate materials and toys divided into centers such as manipulatives, blocks, musical toys, housekeeping, dramatic play, science, and books. Time outside on the playground is provided every day, weather permitting. The gym and the playroom are utilized every day as areas for physical activities.

Please remember that this schedule will be altered to suit the needs of each individual age level. The differences in development at this age are so significant that each class has individual naptimes and various schedules that are specific to the group of children in that class (i.e. Some classes may have 2 naps per day).
