Calvary CDC is excited to introduce the Music Therapy Program as part of our Tutoring Program . Many of the needs that can be addressed through music therapy include physical, behavioral, cognitive/academic, language, and social/emotional needs.

The Music Therapy Program at Calvary Child Development Center provides an atmosphere of fun and learning through a wide array of enjoyable musical experiences with a Board Certified Music Therapist. Through music therapy we will:

  • Practice motor and spatial skills through movement to music;
  • Learn concepts and improve verbal communication through singing;
  • Address social skills such as turn-taking and self-expression through instrument playing;
  • Reinforce appropriate behavior and encourage relaxation through listening to music;
  • Provide opportunities for sensory integration by pairing sound with sight, smell and touch;

… the list of possibilities with music therapy continues!

The program is specifically designed to meet the individual needs of your child, ages 2 years through 12th grade, in a 30–45 minute weekly session ~ one–on–one.
